THE DREAM PERSPECTIVE: TRENDS IN LIGHTING

We are just barely into the new year and I am seeing the world of lighting doing what I love most about design: making us pause, take it all in, and say, wow.

From bold, sculptural fixtures that double as statement-making art pieces to the organic warmth of natural materials that ground and soften interiors, each trend reflects a thoughtful evolution in design. These choices are not arbitrary—they embody a clear vision of how lighting shapes the way we live, feel, and connect with our surroundings.

Whether you're revamping your home, dreaming up a new project, or just scrolling for inspiration… I’ve compiled some of my favorite lighting design trends that can really take your space to the next level.

Bold and Sculptural

Why it works: These sculptural designs are where art meets light. A sharp-angled chandelier or a faceted pendant isn’t just functional—it’s the jewelry of your space.

My take: Intricate, sculptural fixtures are perfect for anyone who wants their space to make a statement. They’re conversation starters, they photograph beautifully, and they elevate even the simplest rooms.

Shop: Martinelli Luce, Vaughan Design, Luca Polato, Giopagani, G.Luce
