THE DREAM LIST (14) // JENNY WALTON
A thoughtful conversation on approach to art, design, and the beauty Walton surrounds herself with.
THE DREAM LIST is thrilled to welcome Jenny Walton, a visionary artist and designer whose work spans the worlds of fashion, design, and fine art. With collaborations with iconic brands like Prada, Miu Miu, Bottega Veneta, and Moncler, Jenny’s aesthetic and eye for beauty is unmistakable.
As an artist and designer, Jenny has always channeled her keen observations of life into her artwork and fashion, understanding the innate crossovers between these two worlds. We sat down with her to discuss the spaces, places, and inspirations that shape her work and life.
Space Of Your Dreams? I love spaces where people use the walls as a canvas, such as Cocteau’s paintings at Villa Santo Sospir or the blue brushstrokes framing doorways at Cy Twombly’s former home in Gaeta.
Favorite Chair? I love a shelled-back grotto chair. I bought a set from the 1930s years ago, inspired by the chairs that Matisse used to paint in his portraits.
Favorite Scent? I wear Trudon II, but my favorite scent is my dogs.
Favorite Hotel? I wish I could have stayed at The Plaza hotel but a hundred years ago. To me that’s the most iconic hotel. I like finding small hotels in Italy that aren’t too expensive and still feel untouched. Chiaia di Luna in Ponza is still quite special, and an esresso by the pool is still only 1 euro, (as it should be).
